Ideal Arts and Science College is an educational institution located in Cherpulassery, Palakkad district, approved by the American Board of Education under the Ideal Education and Charitable Trust. The institution, renowned as the largest non-profit organization in the district, introduces innovative education schemes and modern facilities, providing higher educational opportunities to the community. IDEAL, dedicated to understanding regional needs, has established study units accordingly, showcasing its commitment to excellence through a student-friendly campus and guidance for a secure future.
Operating multiple educational systems within a single campus, the institute advances graduates by offering essential training and identifying post-graduation opportunities. With a focus on meeting the educational needs of the new era, IDEAL produces graduates, revolutionizes education, promotes accessibility to higher education, embraces change, and plans imperatives. Ideal Campus of Education is well-equipped with facilities, hosting institutions like Ideal Teachers Training College, Ideal Training College, Ideal Industrial Training College, IT Mission Center, and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Study Center.
Initiated in 2010 with 64 students, Ideal Arts and Science College has expanded to encompass 15 UG and PG programmes, including disciplines like Geography, Computer Application, Sociology, Psychology, and Travel-Tourism. The institution excels not only in academic achievements but also actively participates in arts, cultural activities, and sports, contributing significantly to the city's cultural scene.
The institution fosters educated youth through art, sports competitions, cultural programs, and publications. Offering coaching clubs, help desks, and career assistance, Ideal College ensures the growth of its alumni. The Ideal Arts and Science College Alumni Association (IASCA) plays a pivotal role in connecting alumni for the institution's development, organizing academic and personal development programs.
Under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the institution coordinates various activities, including Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and scholarships, fostering academic excellence. Numerous clubs, such as Ideal Center for Human Rights and Communal Harmony, Ideal Center for Happiness, I Crayons, I Chronicle, I Step, and many more, engage students and teachers in diverse extracurricular subjects. The campus is also recognized for its shadow charity scheme, contributing to the well-being of the community through projects during festive days.
