Students Grievance Redressal Cell

The Grievance Redressal Committee at Ideal Arts and Science College is committed to developing a responsible and accountable attitude among all stakeholders, including students and staff. The committee aims to maintain a harmonious educational ambience in the institute and uphold the dignity and divinity of the college. It advises stakeholders to respect each other's dignity, encourages the free expression of grievances/suggestions, and promotes a smooth relationship while upholding the standard and discipline of the institute.

Vision

The vision of the Grievance Redressal Committee is to develop a responsible and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders (students, staff including teaching and non-teaching staff) in order to maintain a harmonious educational ambience in the institute and uphold the dignity and divinity of the college.

Mission

Advising the stakeholders to respect the dignity of one another. Encouraging the stakeholders to express their grievances/suggestions freely for a smooth relationship and keep up the standard and discipline of the institute.

Goals

  • To implement necessary action according to the suggestions and grievances.

  • To keep up the values and ethics of the institution.

  • To bring change and development for the upliftment of the stakeholders and the institutions.

Objectives:

  • To maintain a fair, unbiased and consistent system for redressal of various issues faced by the stakeholders.

  • To ensure strict confidentiality so that students approach the Grievance Redressal Cell without the fear of any vindictive activity.

  • To maintain a conducive atmosphere and relationship between the students and faculty without giving any chance to widen the gap between them that may arise because of certain simple misunderstandings.

  • To ascertain that immediate suitable actions are taken by addressing the faculty or by requesting the management depending upon the nature of the grievance.

Recent Grievances:

  1. Dress Code Complaint (05/06/2023): Students requested to wear color dress on Wednesdays. Solution: Students allowed to wear color dress only on Wednesdays.

  2. Water Problem in Girls Hostel Complaint (13/06/2023): Water problem in a room was solved after immediate action by calling a plumber.

  3. Uniform and Attendance Complaint (13/06/2023): Students wanted permission to wear black jeans and white dhotis as uniform. Solution: Students allowed to wear black jeans similar to uniform pants; white dhotis not considered as a part of the dress code.

  4. Attendance Complaint (14/06/2023): Students working part-time requested permission to be one hour late. Solution: Permission granted till 10:30 AM with monitoring of attendance.
