OBC and Minority Club
The OBC Cell under the OBC and Minority Club aims at assisting OBC students to meet their needs to improve their performance in curricular and co-curricular activities. The cell is vigilant in maintaining the reservation policy and takes follow-up measures to achieve the objectives and targets laid down by the Government of India and the UGC.
Vision:
To ensure a healthy and safe environment for minority students to learn and survive.
Mission:
To protect and ensure the rights of OBC and minority students.
Objectives of the Cell:
Carefully listen to the grievances of minority and OBC students.
Address and solve the problems of minority and OBC students.
Give suggestions to the college authorities regarding the creation of better facilities for minority and OBC students.
Inform, guide, and assist minority, OBC, and other students about various scholarships, free-ships, and other facilities available to them.
Action Plan for the Year 2023-24:
Provide an awareness class on OBC and minority rights.
Facilitate financial support to students from minority communities from governmental agencies and other sources.
Make minority students aware of various scholarship programs of state and central Government.
Ensure protection and reservation as provided in the Constitution of India.
Encourage enrolling in career orientation programs that would empower and equip them with the necessary skills to choose career options.
