OBC and Minority Club

The OBC Cell under the OBC and Minority Club aims at assisting OBC students to meet their needs to improve their performance in curricular and co-curricular activities. The cell is vigilant in maintaining the reservation policy and takes follow-up measures to achieve the objectives and targets laid down by the Government of India and the UGC.

Vision:

To ensure a healthy and safe environment for minority students to learn and survive.

Mission:

To protect and ensure the rights of OBC and minority students.

Objectives of the Cell:

• Carefully listen to the grievances of minority and OBC students.

• Address and solve the problems of minority and OBC students.

• Give suggestions to the college authorities regarding the creation of better facilities for minority and OBC students.

• Inform, guide, and assist minority, OBC, and other students about various scholarships, free-ships, and other facilities available to them.

Action Plan for the Year 2023-24:

• Provide an awareness class on OBC and minority rights.

• Facilitate financial support to students from minority communities from governmental agencies and other sources.

• Make minority students aware of various scholarship programs of state and central Government.

• Ensure protection and reservation as provided in the Constitution of India.

• Encourage enrolling in career orientation programs that would empower and equip them with the necessary skills to choose career options.
