Media and Public Relation Cell

Public Relations and the Media is the practice of managing the spread of information about Our Institution’s mission, policies, and practices in a positive, consistent, and credible manner to the Public through Media relations. The Public relations and Media Committee directly interact with organization’s Management members regarding critical Internal and External Organisational events and report these events to editors, reporters, and journalists. The media can be newspapers, radio, television, and Social Media.

This Cell is responsible for handling PR activities of the college. It caters to the three major domains of the institute including Public Relations, Website and Facebook Page Management, and the Official Newspaper/Newsletter of the institute.

The Cell manages the media relations of the institute and keeps the media updated with the happenings at the institute. This primarily involves covering various events of the college, writing press releases, taking photographs, and ensuring that each and every event of the college gets its due media coverage.

The Cell provides content for the periodic updating of the college website. Also, the official Facebook page of the college is managed by this cell.

Vision: To spread the wings of Gates across all media platforms and build Gates into a coveted entity.

Mission: To foster professional relations through numerous events that make the students get recognized over various platforms.

Objectives

• Send advertisements, news items about the functions or events organized in the college to the dailies and get the news published.

• Bring reporters to the college through invitations or by phone to provide coverage about the functions or events organized in the college.

• Make promotional activities about the college such as printing of pamphlets or brochures in an attractive way and distribute them to the public and students as and when required.
